Dairon Herrera 🇨🇴

Dairon is a trainer and program manager at the Tiempo de Juego Foundation, which uses sport and play to build safer communities. In the organization’s “Cambio de Juego” (Game Changer) program he leads social inclusion and capacity-building processes with justice-involved young people.

With over ten years of experience supporting adolescents, professionals, and families in areas such as mental health, coexistence, and alternative sentencing, Dairon works from a restorative, playful, and rights-based approach. He is committed to creating spaces that foster reflection, participation, and well-being, helping to transform institutional environments through trust and empathy.

His connection to this work is deeply personal: As a teenager, he was deprived of liberty in one of Colombia’s youth facilities—an experience he has transformed into an opportunity to inspire and support others. Through his role at Tiempo de Juego, he promotes leadership and social transformation initiatives, driven by the conviction that change is possible when it is built collectively, through respect, empathy, and the recognition of every person’s potential.
